Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The registered substance is not considered readily biodegradable because the 10-day window is not fulfilled. However, as 77% biodegradation was observed after 48 days of exposure in the biodegradation study, the registered substance is not considered persistent (P). In addition, with a log Kow lower than 4.5 and an experimental BCF value well lower than 2000 L/kg, the registered substance does not meet the criterion for bioaccumulation (B). For the T criterion, no chronic NOEC/EC10 are available. However, the most sensitive species in acute conditions is fish with a 96h-LC50 value greater than 0.1 mg/L (at 1.09 mg/L), therefore the registered substance is presumably not toxic (T).

In conclusion, the registered substance could not be considered as a PBT or vPvB substance.
