A review was conducted of public domain data for the aquatic toxicity of
acrylonitrile in order to assess the risk to the marine environment.
Studies for both freshwater and marine species were presented.
The lowest acute acute value was for Artemia salina with a 48-hour EC50
of 14.34 mg/L. The lowest chronic endpoint is that of Daphnia magna,
with a 21-day NOEC of 0.5 mg/L.
