Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- not classified
- Remarks:
- Migrated information Criteria used for interpretation of results: EU
- Conclusions:
- Substance has a very low acute toxicity when tested by the inhalation route up to the saturated vapour concentration
- Executive summary:
In an acute toxicity study by the inhalation route, rats were exposed to the saturated vapour concentration of 2 -(2 -methoxyethoxy)ethanol for a period of 6 hours. This is estimated to be 1.2mg/l. No signs of toxicity were observed. Clearly, the substance has a low acute toxicity by the inhalation route.
Synopsis:
LC0 (6 hour, rat): >Saturated vapour pressure = 1.2mg/l
