Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria but easily eliminable from water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The biodegradation of the test substance based on DOC removal was measured to be 1% after 28 days in a study according to ISO 7827 (LGU 1989).

However, in an inherent biodegradability study according to OECD 302C and GLP a degradation of the test substance > 60% was achieved after 14 days and within 3 days of the level reaching 15% (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2002).

Based on these result, the test substance is considered as inherent biodegradable.
