Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The mean particle size, number in volume, of the fines obtained after sieving at 100 mm of the substance, is determined to be 71 µm.

Additional information

The mean particle size, number in volume, of the fines obtained after sieving at 100 mm of Luperox 802 test item, is determined to be 71 µm, with 10% of particles presenting a diameter less than 34 µm, and 10% of particles presenting a diameter larger than 116 µm.

For the whole test sample, that represents :

- 99.5% of particles larger than 100 µm ;

- 0.25% of particles smaller than about 70 µm.

The particle size distribution indicates that the risk related to fines particles, as defined for the health and safety issues, is very small.
