Eye: Slightly irritating (in-vitro assay)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin irritation / corrosion

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not irritating)

Eye irritation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
adverse effect observed (irritating)

Additional information

Acute dermal irritation following 4 hours exposure to intact skin of the rabbit and an in-vitro test, the BCOP assay, to investigate the potential for the substance to cause severe eye irrtation / corrosion have been investigated.

Assessment has been based on these single, critical, studies for the end-points.

Effects on eye irritation: slightly irritating

Justification for classification or non-classification

An in-vivo test for skin irritation corrosion indicates that the substance is not significantly irritant to the skin.

An in-vitro test for eye irritation / corrosion indicates that the substance may not be significantly irritant to the eye.
