The test on ready biodegradability in water (Simon, 2011) of the test item performed according to EU Method C.4-D,OECD 301F and GLP was rated with RL=1 (reliable without restrictions) and used as a key study. The substance is considered readily biodegradable since 76.8% and 79% in the assays with 40 mg/L and 100 mg/L, respectively, degraded within 28 days (10-day window >60%). The toxicity control showed that the test item can be identified as non-toxic in a ready biodegradability test at a tested concentration of 100 mg/L. No significant abiotic degradation was noticeable after 28 days of incubation.
