Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH annex VII the explosivity test does not have to be conducted as the substance contains no chemical groups associated with explosivity.

As per "Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria - Guidance to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures"

A substance or mixture shall not be classified as explosive:

(a) When there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.

This lack of chemical groups associated with explosive properties is also conclusive data and has been used for the self-reactive substance endpoint as

"The classification procedures for self reactive substances and mixtures need not be applied if:

There are no chemical groups present in the molecule associated with explosive or self reactive properties."

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance has been classified as a non-explosive using classification criteria under EU Directive 67/548/EEC.

The substance has been classified as a non-explosive using classification criteria under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
