Key result
Water solubility:
0.838 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:

Details on results:
1) Preliminary test:
The content of test item dissolved in the water sample was 0.00118 g/L (analysis using the 2 mL sample) and 0.00129 g/L (analysis using the 0.25 mL sample). These results are considered comparable.

2) Main study:
The results for the samples taken at 24, 48 and 72 hours are given in the table 1 in "Any other inforamtion including tables".

The maximum difference (MD) of the concentrations determined in the 24, 48 and 72 hour test samples was ≤ 15%. Based on this it was concluded that the samples analysed did not contain undissolved material. The water solubility of the test item is given as the mean value of the analysed concentrations. No test item was detected in the pretreated sample from the blank water mixture. The water solubility of the test item at 20°C was 0.000838 g/L.

Conclusions:
The slow-stirring flask method was applied for the determination of the water solubility of 1,2-dichloro-1-[difluoro(trifluoromethoxy)methoxy]-1,2,2-trifluoroethane (CAS 874288-98-9).
The water solubility of the test item at 20°C was 0.000838 g/L.
The pH of the aqueous samples was 7.0 - 7.1.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of 1,2-dichloro-1-[difluoro(trifluoromethoxy)methoxy]-1,2,2-trifluoroethane (CAS 874288-98-9) was determined using the slow-stirring flask method according to the OECD guideline 105 (1995) and in compliance with GLP guidelines.

The water solubility of the test item was found to be 0.000838 g/L at 20°C.

Description of key information

One reliable key study (Klimisch 1) is available. The water solubility of the test item was determined using the slow-stirring flask method according to the OECD guideline 105 (1995) , the EU Mtehod A.6 and in compliance with GLP guidelines.

No deviations from the guidelines were observed during the test.
