Administrative data
First-aid measures
Remove contaminated clothing.
If inhaled: Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air.
On skin contact: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. Change contaminated clothing and shoes.
On contact with eyes: Wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open. If adverse health effects develop seek medical attention.
On ingestion: Rinse mouth and then drink 200-300 ml of water.
Treatment: Symptomatic treatment (decontamination, vital functions).
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: water spray, carbon dioxide, dry powder, foam
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: harmful vapours
Evolution of fumes/fog. The substances/groups of substances mentioned can be released in case of fire.
Advice for fire-fighters:
Special protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical-protective clothing.
Further information:
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: For large amounts: Pump off product.
For residues: Pick up with suitable absorbent material. Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with regulations.
Handling and storage
Protection against fire and explosion: Prevent electrostatic charge - sources of ignition should be kept well clear - fire extinguishers should be kept handy. Avoid all sources of ignition: heat, sparks, open flame.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Suitable materials for containers: aluminum, High density polyethylene (HDPE), Low density polyethylene (LDPE), Stove-lacquer RDL 50, Stove-lacquer Z 4, tin (tinplate), glass
Further information on storage conditions: Containers should be stored tightly sealed in a dry place. Protect contents from the effects of light. Keep only in the original container at temperature not exceeding 40 °C.

Components with workplace control parameters: No occupational exposure limits known.

Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection: Wear respiratory protection if ventilation is inadequate. Gas filter for gases/vapours of organic compounds (boiling point >65 °C, e. g. EN 14387 Type A)
Hand protection: Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374). Suitable materials also with prolonged, direct contact (Recommended: Protective index 6, corresponding > 480 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374):butyl rubber (butyl) - 0.7 mm coating thickness, nitrile rubber (NBR) - 0.4 mm coating thickness. Supplementary note: The specifications are based on tests, literature data and information of glove manufacturers or are derived from similar substances by analogy. Due to many conditions (e.g. temperature) it must be considered, that the practical usage of a chemical-protective glove in practice may be much shorter than the permeation time determined through testing.
Manufacturer's directions for use should be observed because of great diversity of types.
Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles) (e.g. EN 166)
General safety and hygiene measures: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. No eating, drinking, smoking or tobacco use at the place of work.
