Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
144 °C

Additional information

The available key study was performed according to EC A.9 from which ISO 3679 is one of the mentioned reference methods. Additional information is given in the document of the European Communities "Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance", May 2008.

The lowest temperature at which ignition was detected was 143.4 °C. The barometric pressure was measured to be 96.4 kPa. The calculated flash point at standard barometric pressure is 144.6 °C. Due to safety considerations this value is rounded down to the nearby integer, giving a final result of 144 °C.

The results of this test are considered relevant and reliable.
