Results and discussion

Partition coefficient
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
2.59
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
7.31 - 7.51
Details on results:
calibration data show ed a slop of 449576, an intercept of 7301 and a correlation coefficient of 0.99860. Thus, the response of the instrument was shown to be linear over the calibration range used.
The assessment of the reproducibility of the analysis was performed doing seven injection of a calibration solution that produced a mean area of 1200714, with a standard deviation of 6580.9 and a coefficient of variation of 5%.
Standard deviation of individual P values about the mean is 14.034

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
the partition coefficient ( n-octanol/water) of atrazine (pure) has been determined as:
Log P = 2.59 at 20°C
