First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move the person away from the contaminated area.

Skin contact: Wash with water. Remove all contaminated clothing and footwear. Use appropriate protective equipment when treating a contaminated person.

Eye contact: Rinse with running water whilst keeping the eyes wide open. (at least 15 minutes). If irritation persists, consult a doctor. Show this sheet.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth out with water. NEVER attempt to induce vomiting. Do not give anything to drink.

Protection of first-aiders: If a great quantity of dust is formed: respiratory protection with a particle filter, appropriate gloves, goggles. and protective clothing.

Further information: Use appropriate protective equipment when treating a contaminated person. Place contaminated clothing in a sealed bag for disposal.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

- Suitable: Preferably use: Water. Foam.

- Not suitable: None. If there is a fire close by, use suitable extinguishing agents.

Specific hazards: Not combustible. Does not present any particular risk in the event of a fire.

Engineering measures: Ensure good ventilation of the work station.

Control parameters

Exposure limit values (Human Health)

- Occupational exposure limit values (France): Inhalable dust - VME: 10 mg/m3 and Respirable dust - VME: 5 mg/m3.

- ACGIH Threshold Limit Values (U.S.A./A.C.G.I.H.): TLV (TWA): 10 mg/m3. (total dust) and TLV (TWA): 3 mg/m3 . Respirable Particles

Personal protective equipment

- Respiratory protection: If dust is generated: Respiratory protective device with a particle filter.

- Hand protection: Appropriate gloves.

In case of mixture with other substances, request advice from your glove supplier.

Protective gloves must be chosen according to the function of the work station: other chemicals which may be handled, physical protection necessary (resistance to cutting, puncture, heat), dexterity required. Use suitable chemical-resistant protective gloves (compliant with Standard EN 374-1)

- Eye protection: Safety spectacles.

- Skin and body protection: Protective clothing.

Collective emergency equipment: Safety shower, eye fountain.

Hygiene measures: Wash as often as necessary.
