First-aid measures
Description of first aid
In case of inhalation: In case of accident, take outdoors, transport to the hospital urgently and consult the toxicological information center.
In case of skin contact: Wash immediately and thoroughly with water and remove all contaminated clothing. Transport of the affected person to the hospital, and consult the toxicological information center.
In case of contact with eyes: Wash immediately and abundantly with water and consult a specialist. Transport of the affected person to the hospital, and consult the toxicological information center.
In case of ingestion: In case of accident, rinse mouth with plenty of water, urgent transport to the hospital and consult the toxicological information center.
Main symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Independently of the way of exposure it can casue irritation in the exposed part.
Effects of overdose: confusion, seizure, dizziness tombs, grave sleepiness, weakness, nervousness, agitation low blood pressure, low frequency of pulsations, slow or difficult breathing and unconsciousness.
May cause sensitization by inhalation and skin contact.
Toxic by ingestion, by contact and by inhalation.
The absorption of this product may cause drowsiness, the effect potentiated by alcoholic beverages or certain medications.
In case of prolonged absorption, risk of drug dependence.
Possibility of liver discomfort in case of chronic over exposure.
Indication of all medical care and special treatments to be given immediately
Call a doctor immediately. Oxygen administration may be necessary. There are antidotes for opiates, for example Naloxone.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Water spray, foam, dry powder, CO2.
Contraindicated: High pressure water jet as it disperses the product.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
In case of combustion or heating up to decomposition it can emit nitrous (NOx) vapors that are toxic.
Recommendations for firefighting personnel
Self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Intervene with the appropriate individual protection means.
- Respiratory protection with anti-dust filter.
- Eyes: glasses.
- Hands: gloves of appropriate material.
- Body: complete combination.
- In case of dust emission (grinding) breathing apparatus with free or compressed air intake.
Environmental precautions
Collect the spill, prevent it from reaching the environment.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning
Avoiding the dust collection, recover all the product in a well closed and labeled container. After finishing the recovery of the material, ventilate the area and wash it with plenty of water.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each manufacturing site.
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.
Precautions for safe handling
Aspiration in the workplace: Absolutely avoid inhalation (aerosol) and all contact with eyes and skin.
Other measures: As with pulverulent products, avoid the accumulation of electrostatic charges with the appropriate materials and methods. Local manipulation specific for narcotics.
Conditions for safe storage, including possible incompatibilities
Keep protected from light. Store under lock and key
Specific end uses:
Synthetic intermediates.

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Intervene with appropriate individual means of protection.
- Respiratory protection with dust filter.
- Eyes: glasses.
- Hands: Gloves of suitable material.
- Body: complete combination.
- In case of emission of dust (grinding) respiratory apparatus with free air intake or compressed.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity
Not reactive under normal conditions.
Chemical stability
Stable under normal conditions.
Possibility of dangerous reactions
In case of combustion or heating up to decomposition it can emit nitrous (NOx) vapors that are toxic.
Conditions to avoid
Thermal decomposition: stable product under normal conditions of use.
Exposed material loses water of hydration.
Protect from light as it is a product sensitive to light, which can degrade if exposed to it.
Incompatible materials
Oxidizing agents and alkaline compounds.
Hazardous decomposition products
In case of combustion or heating up to decomposition it can emit nitrous (NOx) vapors that are toxic.
Disposal considerations
Methods for waste treatment
Proper disposal / product: Do not throw into the environment. Collect and store separately.
Additional information: Destruction according to the regulation of narcotics. Follow the Rules of Local and National Regulations in force.
