Annexe III – inventaire
L'ECHA a établi un inventaire de substances susceptibles de répondre aux critères de l'annexe III du règlement REACH. L'objectif est d'aider les déclarants à déterminer s'ils peuvent bénéficier d'exigences d'information réduites ou s'ils doivent fournir l'ensemble des informations requises au titre de l'annexe VII.
L'inventaire a été établi à partir de bases de données publiques comprenant des données expérimentales et à l'aide de résultats de modèles R(Q)SA. Les indications de propriétés toxicologiques ou écotoxicologiques dangereuses, associées aux informations sur les utilisations et aux autres informations pertinentes disponibles, doivent être comparées aux critères de l'annexe III.
Le fait qu'une substance ne figure pas dans cette liste ne signifie pas nécessairement que les critères de l'annexe III ne sont pas remplis. Parallèlement, lorsqu'une substance figure dans l'inventaire, une déclarant peut continuer à bénéficier d'exigences d'information réduites, si cela est justifié.
Veuillez noter que l'inventaire n'est pas un outil de classification; il ne présente que des éléments qui suscitent des préoccupations. Par exemple, le fait qu'une substance soit indiquée comme «Suspectée d'être mutagène» ne signifie pas que l'ECHA la considère comme une substance classée comme mutagène. Il convient de prendre en considération tous les éléments de preuve avant de conclure à la nécessité d'une classification.
