Emergency measure - Inhalation: avoid vapor inhalation. in case of inhalation, bring victim
into clean air. Effects unknown. if symptoms persist or re-
occur, contact local occupational physician and mention the
possibel presence of xylene

of water. treat symptomatically.
Emergency measure - Skin: Avoid skin contact. Flush with large amounts of water. treat
symptomatically. If symptoms persist or re-occur, contact
the local occupational physician and mention the suspected
potential for skin sensitization
Emergency measure - Ingestion: avoid ingestion. Effects unknown. In case of ingestion,
contact the local occupational physician
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Extinguishing media: waterspray, foam, sand, dry chemical
powder, CO2.

Evacuate all non-essential personnel. Treat as an oil fire.
Cool closed containers with water. Water used to extinguish
a fire should not be allowed to enter the drainage system or
water courses. After a fire, ventilate thoroughly the area
and soak with water, clean the walls and metallic surfaces.

and do not generate flames or sparks. Take precautionary
measures against static discharges. Collect as much as
possible in a clean container for (preferable) reuse or
disposal. Cover the remainder with inert absorbent (e.g.
vermiculite) for disposal. Flush surroundings with large
amounts of water and soap.

Vapours are heavier than air and may spread along floors.
