You will need to share data and register your substance jointly with other companies. In practice, this means that you need to:
- find your co-registrants;
- agree with your co-registrants that you have the same substance;
- get organised and work together.
How this works will mostly depend on whether your substance is already registered or not.
Find out if your substance is already registered
Other companies may have registered your substance already. In this case, a SIEF already exists and you will need to join it.
If your substance is not registered, you and your co-registrants will need to first agree on how to cooperate.
You can check which substances are registered in ECHA’s database of registered substances or the list of lead registrants. You do not need to log in to access the information. You can also see which companies have registered.
