Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Parent substance EC 401-280-0

No reliable data are available on the actual substance EC 401 -280-0. However, as this substance hydrolyses very quickly only the degradation products are considered.

Hydrolysis products:

bis(2 -ethylhexyl))amine

Adsorption / Desorption

Adsorption to the solid soil phase is expected.

Henry's Law Constant

From the water surface, the substance will slowly evaporate into the atmosphere at pH 9.0 but not at pH 7.0.

Distribution modelling

Over time the substance will distribute into the compartments soil (50%) and sediment (50%). However, since the model does not consider the ionic form of the molecule at environmentally relevant pH conditions, the model may underestimate distribution into water.

1H-1,2,4 -triazole

Adsorption/desorption

Mobility in soil expected

Henry's Law Constant/Distribution Modelling

No data on Henry's Law constant and distribution modelling is available

Formaldehyde

Adsorption/desorption

Moderate to high mobility in soil expected

Henry's Law Constant

From the water surface the substance will not evaporate into the atmosphere

Distribution modelling

Using simple environmental models based on fugacity, the main target for environmental distribution will be water (Mackay Level I calculation; BASF SE, 2008)
