Description of key information

The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The flammability (solids) was determined by measuring the burning rate of test material prepared as a pile of set dimensions. Testing was based on Method A10 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC.

The pile melted to a cream coloured liquid but failed to ignite during the 2 min that the Bunsen flame was applied.

The result of the preliminary screening test obviated the need to perform the main test.

The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The flammability of the test material was assessed according to EU Method A10 and determined to be non flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test. The result of the preliminary screening test obviated the need to perform the main test. Therefore, the test material is considered to be non-classified.
