First-aid measures

Immediate Medical Assistance
Required
Yes
Skin Contact IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin
with water/shower. Seek medical advice. May cause delayed burns.
Eye contact IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if
present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Seek medical advice.
Inhalation IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth
to mouth. Seek medical advice.
Ingestion IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical advice.
Emergency Equipment Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media Carbon dioxide, dry chemicals, foam, water spray (mist). Cool containers / tanks with water
spray. Use media appropriate for surrounding fire.
Unsuitable Extinguishing Media -
Exposure Hazards High temperatures may liberate toxic or corrosive gases. Do not breathe smoke or vapours.
Protective equipment and precautions
for firefighters
Use self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear suitable protective clothing and eye/face
protection.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions Evacuate unnecessary personnel. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Avoid
contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe fumes/vapors.
Environmental Precautions Contain any spill with dikes or absorbents to prevent migration and entry into sewers or
streams. Neutralize with water, acid, caustic or dilute.
Methods for Clean-up Clean up small spills with neutralization agent such as lime, caustic, or soda ash. Large
spills may be taken up with pump or vacuum and finished off with dry chemical absorbent.
May require excavation of contaminated soil. Residue may be washed down with water.

Handling and storage

Handling Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep
away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
Storage Keep container tightly closed. Keep in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Mechanical
ventilation is recommended. Local exhaust is needed at source of vapours.
