Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Kohlendioxid, Schaum, Löschpulver, bei größeren Bränden auch

Wassersprühstrahl. Die Wahl der Löschmittel richtet sich

nach dem Brandumfang und den örtlichen Gegebenheiten.

Niemals scharfen Wasserstrahl verwenden.

Carbon dioxid, foam, extinguishing agent, in the case of

bigger fires use directed water spray. The choice of the

extinguishing agent depends on the dimension of the fire and

the locality. Never use a sharp jet of water.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Verschütten oder Leckage: Nicht in die Kanalisation gelangen

lassen. Mechanisch entfernen; Rest mit feuchtem,

flüssigkeitsbindendem Material (z.B. Sägemehl,

Chemikalienbinder auf Basis Calciumsilikat-Hydrat, Sand)

abdecken. Nach ca. 1 Std. in Abfallgebinde aufnehmen, nicht

verschließen (CO2-Entwicklung!). Feucht halten und an

gesichertem Ort mehrere Tage im Freien stehen lassen.

Abreagiertes Produkt ist kein Gefahrstoff mehr. Entsorgung

durch Ablagerung auf geordneter oder Sondermülldeponie oder

durch Verbrennen.

Beschädigte Gebinde in ein Sicherheitsfaß stellen;

Kennzeichnung des Außenbehälters wie das Originalgebinde.

Die persönliche Schutzausrüstung bei der Bergung entspricht

der unter "Handhabung": Schutzanzug, Schutzbrille und

Schutzhandschuhe.

Spillage or leakage: Do not empty into drains. Remove

mechanically; Cover residues with wet, liquid-binding

material (e.g. sawdust, chemical binder on the basis of

calcium silicate, sand). Take up into unclosed waste

containers after approx. 1 hour (Co2-formation!).

Keep moistened and store at a secure place outside for

several days. Abreacted product is no longer a hazardous

substance. Disposal by proper deposition or special waste

disposal site or by incineration.

Place damaged containers into a safety container.

Label the safety container in the same way as the original.

The personal protective equipment during the rescue

corresponds to "handling": protective clothing, safety

goggles and gloves.

Handling and storage

Handling: Die beim Umgang mit Chemikalien üblichen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen

sind zu beachten. Bei allen Arbeiten, bei denen die

Möglichkeit zu Haut- und Augenkontakt besteht, sind

geeignete Arbeitskleidung, Schutzhandschuhe (aus Neopren,

PVC, Butylkautschuk, Gummi) und Schutzbrille zu tragen.

Eine Berührung mit der Haut und den Augen sowie das Einatmen

von Spritznebel sind zu vermeiden. Für wirksame Absaugung

ist zu sorgen; bei nicht ausreichend entlüfteten

Arbeitsplätzen und bei Spritzverarbeitung ist Atemschutz

erforderlich. Empfohlen werden Frischluftmaske oder bei

kurzzeitigem Arbeiten Kombinationsfilter A2-P2. Um den

Kontakt mit dem Stoff zu verhindern, sind sichere

Ab-,Umfüll- und Dosiereinrichtungen zu installieren.

Es sind Maßnahmen vorzusehen, daß der Stoff oder

gegebenenfalls Löschwasser nicht in Erdreich, Abwässer oder

Gewässer gelangen können. In unmittelbarer Nähe des

Arbeitsbereiches sollten Augenbrausen bereitgestellt und ihr

Standort auffällig gekennzeichnet werden.

Bei Überempfindlichkeit der Atemwege und der Haut (Asthma,

chronische Bronchitis, chronische Hautleiden) wird vom

Umgang mit dem Produkt abgeraten.

Von Nahrungs- und Genußmitteln fernhalten. Vor den Pausen

und bei Arbeitsende Hände waschen. Arbeitskleidung getrennt

aufbewahren. Beschmutzte, getränkte Kleidung sofort

ausziehen.

Take the precautionary measures which usually apply when

handling chemicals. For all works at which skin and eye

contact is possible, suitable working clothes,protective

gloves (from neopren, PVC, butyl rubber) and safety

goggles should be used.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes as well as the inhalation

of spray mist. Provide effective ventilation; respiratory

protection is necessary if the work place is not ventilated

sufficiently and if the substance is applicated as spray.

Fresh air mask is recommended or combination mechanical -

chemical filter A2-P2 only for short-term work.

Provide secure filling-, transfer- and metered feeding

equipment to avoid contact with the substance.

Do not allow the substance or water used in extinguishing

to enter soil, waste waters or aquatic environments.

Conspicuously marked eye-douche stations should be provided

in the immediate vicinity of the working area.

By hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract and the skin

(asthma, chronic bronchitis and chronic skin condition) it

is advised to deal with the product.

Keep away from food, tobacco and alcohol.

Wash hands before breaks and after finishing work.

Store work clothing away from the substance.

Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

Storage: Das Produkt ist kühl und trocken in dicht geschlossenen

Gebinden zu lagern (< 50°C). Lagerräume sind nach den

Grundsätzen einer guten Betriebshygiene zu unterhalten.

Die TRGS 514 ist zu beachten.

Alle angebrochenen Gebinde sind nach dem Gebrauch wieder

dicht zu schließen; bei längerer Lagerung gegebenenfalls

unter Stickstoff. Produktreste an/auf den Behältern

vermeiden. Bei Feuchtigkeitszutritt allmähliche

Kohlendioxid-Entwicklung, führt in geschlossenen Gebinden

zu Druckaufbau; Berstgefahr.

Maßnahmen vorsehen, daß der  Stoff oder gegebenenfalls

Löschwasser nicht in Erdreich, Abwässer oder Gewässer

gelangen können.

The product should be kept cool and dry in tightly closed

containers (< 50 °C). Keep storerooms according to the

principles of good industrial hygiene. Keep all opened

packing drums carefully closed; at longer storage under

nitrogen if necessary. Avoid product residues at/on the

containers. If moisture occures the formation of carbon

dioxid occurs gradually; this leeds to pressure formation

in closed containers; risk of bursting.

Do not allow the substance or water used in extinguishing

to enter soil, waste waters or aquatic environments.

Eine ordnungsgemäße Beförderung ist ohne spezielle
Gefährdung gewährleistet, wenn die üblichen Maßnahmen wie
Beachtung der Stapelhöhe, Sicherung gegen Herabfallen und
vorschriftsmäßige Kennzeichnung beachtet werden. Bei der
innerbetrieblichen Beförderung sind angebrochene Gebinde
sorgfältig verschlossen zu halten, um Verschütten zu
vermeiden. Vor Nässe schützen und getrennt von Nahrungs- und
Genußmitteln halten.

Transport only in closed containers which correspond to
packing group II. Heat-sensitive from 50°C onward. A proper
transport is ensured without special risk if the usual
measures like paying attention to the stack height, securing
containers against falling and labelling in accordance with
regulations are observed. By in-site transport opened
packing drums have to be kept tighly closed, to avaid
spillage. Protect against wetness and keep separately from
food, tobacco and alcohol.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Rückgewinnung aus einer lösemittelhaltigen Zubereitung durch

Abdestillieren des Lösemittels.

Rückgewinnung aus dem Lack ist nicht möglich, da Umsetzung

mit der 2. Komponente des Lackes stattfindet

(Verarbeitungszeit des Lackes beträgt nur einige Stunden).

Restmengen oder verunreinigtes Material können eventuell

erneut destilliert werden.

Recovery from a solvent containing preparation by removing

the solvent by distillation.

Recovery out of the varnish is not possible because

conversion takes place with the second component of the

varnish (time for processing of the varnish amounts only to

a few hours. Rest amounts or contaminated matertial may be

distilled once more.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Restmengen läßt man in aminhaltigem Wasser oder aminhaltigem

Wasser/Lösemittel-Gemisch abreagieren (mehrere Tage stehen

lassen) zu Polyharnstoff.

wasserunlöslich und kann mechanisch aus dem Wasser entfernt

werden. Vor Einleiten in eine Kläranlage ist in der Regel

eine Neutralisation erforderlich. Bei sachgemäßer Einleitung

geringer Konzentrationen in adaptierte biologische

Kläranlagen sind Störungen der Abbauaktivität von

Belebtschlamm nicht zu erwarten.

The substance hydrolyses to poly urea which is insoluble in

water and can be separated from the water mechanically.

Before the substance can be discharged into a water

purification plant, normally a neutralization is necessary.

Obstructions of the degradation activity for the activated

sludge are not expected if the substance will be discharged

properly in lower concentrations into adapted biological

water purification plants.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Im allgemein öffentlichen Bereich wird der Stoff nicht

eingesetzt.
