Key result
Type:

Partition coefficient:
7.3
Temp.:
35 °C
Remarks on result:

Temp.:
35 °C
Remarks on result:
other: 2 minor peaks ((representing 4.7% and 16.7% of relative area of HPLC chromatogram, respectively). LogPow is an indica-tive value (value out of calibration domain)
Details on results:
In the conditions of the test, the chromatograms of GR-87-0307 show four peaks at average retention times of 6.670 minutes (4.8% relative peak area), corresponding to a partition coefficient (log value) of 3.8; 48.500 minutes (4.7% relative peak area), corresponding to a partition coefficient (log value) of 7.2*; 50.113 minutes (16.7% relative peak area), corresponding to a partition coefficient (log value) of 7.2* and 52.967 minutes (73.7% relative peak area), corresponding to a partition coefficient (log value) of 7.3*.
Therefore:
Partition coefficients n-octanol/water of GR-87-0307:
log Pow = 7.3* (main peak)
log Pow = 3.8; 7.2* and 7.2* (minor peaks)
* indicative value, peak is outside calibration domain

The determination was performed at 35°C (temperature of the column), but the value obtained above can be considered to represent the value at an unspecified, probably ambient temperature since no mention is made in the guidelines of the temperature at which the tabulated reference substances log Pow values were determined. Partition coefficients of the test and reference substances are assumed to vary with temperature in the same way.

Conclusions:
Partition coefficients n-octanol/water of GR-87-0307:
log Pow = 7.3* (main peak)
log Pow = 3.8; 7.2* and 7.2* (minor peaks)
* indicative value, peak is outside calibration domain
Executive summary:

The Partition Coefficient n-octanol/water of GR-87-0307 was determined by the Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatographic Method according to the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, Method No. 117.

The result is:
