Description of key information

Hydrolysis is not expected to be a relevant degradation pathway for fatty acids C18-C22 (even numbered), tetraesters with pentaerythritol (DT50 > 1 yr at pH 7).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Experimental studies investigating the abiotic hydrolysis of fatty acids C18-C22 (even numbered), tetraesters with pentaerythritol are not available.

Therefore, half-lives were calculated for the three main components using HYDROWIN v2.00, resulting in DT50 values > 1 year (pH 7). Thus, hydrolysis is not expected to be a relevant degradation pathway for fatty acids C18-C22 (even numbered), tetraesters with pentaerythritol.
