An evaluation of the functionality within the substance has been performed to identify the presence of elements commonly associated with explosive properties as described in Table A6.1 in Appendix 6 of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Test and Criteria. Of all the groups compared only C-C unsaturation (acetylenes, acetylides, 1,2 -dienes) were present. It is concluded that trans-hex-2-en-1-ol does not expected to possess explosive properties and therefore does not require classification for explosive properties.
