Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No test on Self-ignition temperature was performed since the substance is a solid with  a melting point ≤ 160 °C.

Nonetheless, a UN.4 test (self-heating substance test) was performed even though the melting point of the product is below 160°C  because the melting range was close to these 160°C and because decomposition (gas formation) was observed above the melting point.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The sample did not undergo dangerous self-heating when tested in a 100 mm sample cube at 140°C (refer to figure 3). Therefore, the sample is not to be regarded as self-heating substance.
