Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Test 1: The test substance aliquots, when dispensed from the prepared pipet onto the surface of the water, remained intact - did not disperse; no reaction or gas evolution/ignition was observed.

Test 2: The test substance aliquots, when dispensed from the prepared pipet onto the surface of the filter paper (floating flat on the surface of the water), dispersed. After the observation period (1 – 2 minutes), the droplet had dispersed to an approximate 30 mm (in diameter) area. No reaction or gas evolution/ignition was observed.

Test 3: When several drops of reagent water were added to the center of the test substance contained in the porcelain crucible, it (water) remained on top of the test substance. No reaction or gas evolution/ignition was observed.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The tests were conducted using a three-tiered process. At no time during the testing period was any gas evolution or subsequent gas ignition observed. Therefore, the test substance was not considered hazardous in contact with water according to the criteria presented in Guideline EU Directive 92/69/EEC, Method A.12.

EXP1200078 was determined not to be hazardous in contact with water based on the A.12 Guideline criteria.
Executive summary:

EXP1200078 was determined not to react upon contact with water or otherwise emit gas according to EU Guideline EC A12.
