Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The pycnometer was weighed (MP). Then about 30 g (MU) test item was measured into the pycnometer. then about 50 ml water was poured into the it and the suspension was mixed well, and it was placed for 24 hours into a dessicator to remove all bubles from the mixture. Then the pycnometer was filled up with water into the sign and weighed (MT)

The weight of water is MW = MT – Mu - MP
The volume of the water is Vw = MW
The volume of the test item (solid material) is VU = 100 - VW
The density of the test item d (4/20) = MU/VU
GLP compliance:
no
