Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

hydrolysis
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is readily biodegradable

Description of key information

Hydrolysis is not expected. The substances are obtained by a steam distillation process. These conditions - heating in the presence of water- are also applied in a Hydrolysis test. The molecular structures of the known constituents in these UVCBs do therefore contain non-hydrolysable structures.

In addition, for both distilled fractions Terpenes 1 and 2 readily biodegradability was concluded.

Hydrolysis was therefore not further assessed.
