Conclusions:
The substance is much less dense than water.
Executive summary:

The density of the test substance was measured under GLP according OECD 109 / EU A3 guideline, pycnometer method, using a saturated aqueous solution as replacement liquid.

Due to wax-like appearance of the test item, it was warmed to 80°C to handle it; then experiment was performed at 20 °C in duplicate, and the mean density was calculated.

A density of 0.9452 ± 0.0007 g/cm3 at 20.0 ± 0.4 °C was measured.

The relative density (d20/4) of the test substance was calculated to be 0.9452.

Description of key information

The substance is much less dense than water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.945

Additional information

A fully reliable experimental study, conducted according to a recognized OECD/EC method and under GLP, is available. Therefore, it is considered as a key study, and the result is retained as key data.
