Tetra-PSCA acid is a brown viscous liquid.

According to OECD102 study the melting point of Tetra-PSCA is -2 ± 3°C.

According to OECD103 study the boiling point of Tetra-PSCA is 412 ± 10°C at 101.9 kPa.

According to OECD109 study the density of Tetra-PSCA is 1.0370 ± 0.0002 g/cm3 at 20°C and the relative density is D420 = 1.037.

The vapour pressure of Tetra-PSCA is 1.6 Pa at 20 °C.

According to OECD107 study the log pow of TTetra-PSCA is 3.74.

According to ISO 4311 the critical micelle concentration of Tetra-PSCA is 0.19 ± 0.08 g/L at 20°C. The critical micelle concentration is the appropriate parameter describing water solubility of surface active materials.

According to OECD105 study Tetra-PSCA is miscible with n-octanol at every ratio. For substances that are completely miscible with octanol, the numerical value of the octanol solubility should be derived from the density. Based on that the n-octanol solubility of Tetra-PSCA is 1037 g/l.

According to OECD115 study the surface tension of Tetra-PSCA is 38.2 ± 0.1 mN/m at a concentration of 90% of the saturation concentration at 25°C.

According to EU A.9 study the flash point of Tetra-PSCA is 121±2°C at 101.9 kPa.

The Auto-ignition Temperature of Tetrapropylen succinimido caproic acid according to the auto-ignition test with Pentapropenyl succinimido capronic acid in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.15.is 290 °C.

There are no structural alerts within Tetra-PSCA and great experience in handling and use give evidence that no Pyrophoricity and Flammability on contact with water properties give any concern. For liquids the Flammability is described by the Flash Point. The Flash Point of the substance is 121±2°C.

Tetra-PSCA is a is considered to have no explosive properties as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule.

Tetra-PSCA is a is considered to have no oxidising properties as there are no halogen or oxygen atoms bond to nitrogen or oxygen.

Tetra-PSCA is a is considered to be stable in organic solvents.

The pKa values of Tetra-PSCA at 25 °C are:

pKa1 (COO- + H+ ⇌ COOH) : 4.74 ± 0.10

pKa2 (R3NH+ ⇌ R3N + H+) : -1.60 ± 0.40

According to OECD114 study the viscosity of Tetra-PSCA is 22900 ± 600 mPa.s (dynamic, 20°C) / 2600 ± 70 mPa.s (dynamic, 40°C).
