Description of key information

The 96-hour LC50 for the test material to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), based on nominal test concentrations was greater than 100 mg/l and correspondingly the NOEC was 100 mg/l.

The acute toxicity of the test material to the freshwater invertebrate Daphnia magna has been investigated and gave a 48-hour EC50 of greater than 100 mg/l. Correspondingly the No Observed Effect Concentration was 100 mg/l.

ErC50 (0 to 72h)= 59mg/l.  Water hardness is not measured.  Compound should be labelled as harmful to aquatic organisms and may cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.

At high concentrations the substance was inhibitory to sludge micro-organisms. A 3-hour EC50 of 740 mg/l and a NOEC of 180 mg/l were determined.
