Results and discussion

Water solubility
Key result
Water solubility:
4.6 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 6.3 - <= 6.8
Details on results:
A first test series was performed. These measurements showed a standard deviation og more tham 85 %. This could have been cyused by the high vapour pressure of the test item and a subsequent evaporation of the test item from the aqueous phase. The test series was therefore repeated usind more tightly closed flasks to reduce the effect from a possible evaporation of the test item (however no greae could be used for closing the flasks since this also influences the results).
A second test series was performed. After the equilibration time only the 24 h experiment showed two phases. The 48 h and the 72 h experiments showed only one phase. It was therefore assumed that the test was also influenced by the high vapour pressure of the test item. The test series was repeated again using a lower stirring temperature (10 °C instead of 30 °C). After the equilibration time (further stirring for 24 h at 20 °C) all three experiments showed two phases.
