Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No data on the water solubility of the substance is avaialble. The results from the structural analogue are used instead (for details see reporting Format as attached to section 13 in the IUCLID dossier).

The water solubility of Reaction mass of tetrasodium phosphonoethane-1,2-dicarboxylate and hexasodium-phosphonobutane-1,2,3,4-tetracarboxylate has been determined according the EU method A.6 of the Commission directive 84/449/EEC and the GLP.

The preliminary test determined the water solubility to be approximately greater than 2333 g/L at 20°C.

No definitive test has been performed as the test material produced a very viscous solution at a concentration of 1498 g/L and above, which would have proved impossible to filter.

Even if no definitive test has been performed, the water solubility determined is sufficiently high to be used for risk assessment. Therefore, it is considered as reliable with restrictions.
