> 400 °C
Remarks on result:
other:
Remarks:
at atm. press. of ca.100.0 kPa

Any other information on results incl. tables

A certain volume of the test item is placed in an oven at room temperature. Using a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5 °C/min, FAT 40842/A TE showed no relevant exothermic reaction. At the end of the measurement of FAT 40842/A TE had run out of the sample cube. Past heating the test item was a black gleaming melted mass.

The study was performed under atmospheric pressure which was at that time ca. 100kPa. The exact value of the pressure was not recorded

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
FAT 40842/A TE is not auto-flammable, according to the criteria as described in the guideline.
Executive summary:

During this study, the self-ignition temperature was determined. Therefore, the test item was filled into a cube and heated in an oven. The temperatures of the oven and the sample were continuously recorded while the temperature of the oven was increased to approximately 400 °C. FAT 40842/A TE showed no exothermic reaction.

Past heating the test item was a black gleaming melted mass

FAT 40842/A TE is not auto-flammable, according to the criteria as described in the guideline.
