Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results

Preliminary test

Experimental conditions

Humidity About 28%

Room temperature About 20 °C

Atmospheric pressure 98.5 kPa

Assay No. 1

As the test item was a very viscous liquid, the mould and the test item inside were put at about -20 °C during 30 minutes to obtain a solid unbroken strip. The test item was not completely solidified, the pile started to spread out. At the contact of the burner’s flame, the test item melted and neither inflammation nor propagation was observed.

Assay No. 2

The same observations as for the assay No. 1 were recorded.

Main test

Taking into account the results obtained during the preliminary test, no main test was performed.

Conclusion

The test of flammability of solids following EC A10 method can not be considered as applicable to the test item.
