1,3:2,4-Bis-O-(3,4-dimethylbenzylidene)-D-glucitol is regarded as not genotoxic. No further in vitro/in vivo mutagenicity studies need to be considered because of negative results in all of the available genotoxicity studies that are required according to REACH Annex VII or VIII (c.f. REACH Annex VIII 8.4).
