Description of key information

The test substance is non-toxic to aquatic species at three trophic levels: fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae, as demonstrated by the results below.

LC50 (48 h) and LC50 (96 h) to Brachydanio rerio and Salmo gairdneri > 100 mg/l.

EC50 (48 h) to Daphnia species > 100 mg/l.

EC50 (72 h) to algae: Scenedesmus subspicatus > 100 mg/l.

Moreover, studies on activated sludge showed no growth inhbition up to the highest concentration tested, namely IC50 (3 h) > 1000 mg/l.
