Conclusion on classification

According to data of the substancve itself or structural analogues Guerbet alcohols, C24-26, branched and linear does not produce toxicity in aquatic organisms in acute toxicity studies up to the limit of the water solubility. Based on an absence of toxicity to aquatic, sediment and terrestrial organisms, unlikely potential for bioaccumulation and the rapid biodegradation of Guerbet alcohols, C24-26, branched and linear in the environment, it is concluded that the long chain alcohol does not pose hazard to the water, sediment or terrestrial compartment. Guerbet alcohols, C24-26, branched and linear is not classified as a hazard to the environment.
