Additional information

Two studies are available on the biodegradability of 1,2-Benzenediol, 3,5dialkyl-, 1,2-dicarboxylate. In the first study, biodegradation in water was tested with 1,2-Benzenediol, 3,5dialkyl-, 1,2-dicarboxylate according to OECD 301C under GLP conditions (Muckle 2012). Measurement of oxygen consumption resulted in a degradation of 28% after 28 d. The second study was conducted according to OECD 301 F and GLP (Yang Jing, 2012). 11.15% biodegradation was reached based on oxygen consumption, during the 28-day test period. Therefore, the test substance has to be regarded as not readily biodegradable.
