The assessed substance, (2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)silanetriol is the silanol hydrolysis product of the submission substance.
Triethoxy(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)silane hydrolyses moderately in contact with water to form (2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)silanetriol and ethanol.
The silanol hydrolysis product, (2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)silanetriol may persist in the environment but does not meet the criteria for B or T, and therefore the hydrolysis product should not be concluded as PBT or vPvB.
