A complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained from the vacuum distillation of the products from a thermal cracking process. It consists predominantly of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly greater than C34 and boiling above approximately 495°C (923°F).
4.5 to 10000 Pa.s at 60°C according to EN 12596; 1000 to 16000 mm2/s at 60°C according to EN 12595; 1189 to 8650 mPa.s at 100°C according to EN 13302; and 80 to 3210 mm2/s at 135°C according to EN 12595
Bitumens are high viscosity hydrocarbon solids with a viscosity of more than 7 mm2/s at 40°C. Measured viscosity values and supporting specification information provide the following:4.5 to 10000 Pa.s at 60°C; 1000 to 16000 mm2/s at 60°C according to EN 12595; 1189 to 8650 mPa.s at 100°C; 80 to 3210 mm2/s at 135°C(CONCAWE, 2010a; CONCAWE, 1992a)..
