As all three criteria must be met, 1,3-BAC is not a PBT because it does not meet the toxicity or bioaccumulative criteria. The substance is highly water soluble and has a low log Kow. The substance may meet the criteria for persistence but further testing would be required to confirm. These tests are not necessary because regardless of the result, 1,3-BAC will not meet the PBT or vPvB criteria.
