Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study concerning chronic toxicity to invertebrates is available for the analogous test substance 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (CAS 872 -50 -4), performed by BASF (2001) according to OECD guideline 211. This read across is suitable because the substances have a comparable molecular structure and their physico-chemical properties lie within a similar range. In the semi-static test Daphnia magna was used as test organism. After 21 days of exposure, a NOEC of 12.5 mg/L was found (nominal concentration, analytically verified).
