Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Waiver based on low partition coefficient and low potential for adsorption

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Waiver. In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annexes XIII, the adsorption / desorption study (required in section 9.3.1 and 9.3.3) do not need to be conducted if, based on the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (e.g. the substance has a low octanol-water partition coefficient). The partition coefficient of FX511 was determined in a reliable study (Walker 2012) where the measured log Kow is 2.98. Therefore, FX511 is considered to have low potential for absorption and no further testing is required.
