The weighted average log Pow of amides, C12-18 (even numbered) and C18-unsatd., N-hydroxyethyl is 4.3 at 20°C. A bioconcentration factor (BCF) calculation using the weighted mean yielded a value of 56.8 L/kg w/w, suggesting low bioaccumulation potential. This assumption is supported by available toxicokinetics data.According to Section 5.1.3, amides, C12-18 (even-numbered) and C18-unsatd., N-hydroxyethyl is not expected to significantly bioaccumulate due to its rapid and effective metabolism by P450 enzymes, leading to the formation of innocuous polar metabolites which are rapidly excreted (primarily) in urine.
