Triethoxyisobutylsilane was determined not to be flammable in contact with water in accordance with EU test method A.12 and not to be pyrophoric in accordance with EU Method A.13.
The flammability study is not required for liquids as flammability is assessed on the basis of flash point (see IUCLID Section 4.11).
Therefore, in accordance with Section 1 of REACH Annex XI, there is no need to conduct further flammability testing.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Triethoxyisobutylsilane is not classified for flammability in the existing Annex VI entry in Regulation 1272/2008/EC.
