Toxicity to Soil macroorganism

This data point can been waived for chlorocresol on the grounds that exposure is not expected to occur and that chlorocresol is readily biodegradable. Under these circumstances, data for the effects of chlorocresol on soil macro-organisms are considered unnecessary.

Toxicity to terrestrial plants was studied on Lactuca sativa. On the basis of growth effect, the effect concentrations (EC 50) was found to be > 32 ug/g soil for 7 days study and < 100 ug/g soil for 14 days.
