Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is not flammable solid and non pyrophoric properties were observed. Furthermore the substance does not emit flammable gases in contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The flammability of a substance is determined following the methods N.1 (UN-manual of testing) or A.10 (EU-method). The substance melted when approached by the ignition flame. The substance did not burn down.. Therefore the substance is classified as not flammable solid.

Testing for pyrophoric properties does not need to be conducted as it is scientifically unjustified. Based on experience during handling and use, no pyrophoric properties were observed and the structure does not give a reference to pyrophoric properties.

Testing for flammability on contact with water does not need to be conducted as the substance contains no metals or metalloids and therefore will not release flammable gases in contact with water.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is not readily combustible, no pyrophoric property, and no flammability in contact with water; and hence no classification according to both Directive 67/548/EEC and GHS (Regulation EC 1272/2008).
