Description of key information

In an OECD Test Guideline 471 study, conducted according to GLP, Gasir 1 was assessed for its ability to induce gene mutations in strains of S. typhimurium (TA1535, TA1537, TA98, TA100) and E. coli (WP2 uvrA). The test material was considered to be non-mutagenic under the conditions of this test.

Additional information

In an OECD Test Guideline 471 study, conducted according to GLP, Gasir 1 was assessed for its ability to induce gene mutations in strains of S. typhimurium (TA1535, TA1537, TA98, TA100) and E. coli (WP2 uvrA). Under the conditions of this test Gasir 1 was considered to be non-mutagenic.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the existing data set, Gasir 1 does not meet the criteria for classification as a germ cell mutagen (category 1A or 1B) under EU CLP criteria (EC 1272/2008).
