First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment. Seek immediate medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate with running water and seek medical attention
immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and running water and seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, Carbon dioxide, Dry powder and Water.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of Carbon, Nitrogen and Sulfur.Sodium/Potassium
containing compounds.
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vacinity.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to
the relevant national or international standards. Absorb
spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material (eg
sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to waste
containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine.
Containers filled with waste material must be labelled in
the same way as the original containers.
Clean the spillage area with water and detergent.
Dispose of waste material in accordance with local
regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: The neat substance should be stored, handled and used in
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure.
Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
neat substance.
When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled
appropriate personal protective equipment (Chemical
protective gloves, chemical resistant clothing, eye
protection) should be worn. Such protective equipment
should conform to the appropriate international or national
standards.
When necessary appropriate respiritory protection should be
used. For example, a dust mask conforming to EN149 FFP1
The personal protective equipment mentioned above should be
regarded as a minimum.
Storage: Store in a dry well-ventilated area, away from bright light.
Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not
economically or technically feasible, and as such, waste
material should be disposed of by the appropriate methods.
Large spillages are not anticipated as the substance is only
imported as a component of an ink preparation, contained
within a cartridge, in the EU.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical treatment is praticable to neutralize the
hazardous properties.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers, empty cartridges, spillages of
solutions and printed paper may be disposed of by landfill
at an authorised tip in accordance with local regulations.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Contaminated items containing the substance can be disposed
of by incineration by burning under controlled conditions at
a licensed waste treatment processor in accordance with
local regulations. Stack gases should be scrubbed, because
noxious gases (e.g. Carbon, Nitrogen and Sulphur oxides) and
Sodium/Potassium containing compounds could be formed.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normaly be discharged directly to
the sewage system or the aqueous environment as it is
imported as a component of preparations contained in
caridges.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Plastic cartridges containing waste ink can be disposed of
(as chemical waste) by incineration or returned to the
importer.
